DAY 1 |
DAY 2 |
|

- A new Theme is introduced by the Psychotherapist and cognitive-emotionally discussed in the group.
- A corresponding Object, concrete-operationally representative of the theme, is presented by the Psychotherapist and passed around in the group allowing the P. firsthand tactile-audio-visuel and sensory-motor confrontation with the theme. |
- The course of the 1. day is summarized by the Psychotherapist. The experiences of the Ps. relevant to the Theme are cognitive-emotionally discussed. - The Fairytale is read by the Ps. in tandem providing them with a coherent auditive-cognitive experience under supervision of the Psychotherapist. The Ps. are asked to volunteer and share their thoughts and feelings about the fairytale pictures and symbols. |

- The theme is kinaesthetically transformed under supervision of the Movement/Dance therapist into corresponding Movement exercises at three sequential levels of experience: The experience of myself (in the circle of others), of you in the partner exercise and of us in the group. |
- The theme is synaesthetically transformed into Color and Form under supervision of the Art therapist. and the fairytale scenes are represented by pictures and symbols (Gestalt).
(The Ps. graphic creations are principally not elaborated upon with individual Ps. although spontaneously arising discussions are engaged in with Ps. by both therapists with focus upon the coherent progressive positivation of the Self-symbolic content.) |
|

- A Fairytale, symbolically related to the theme and object, is read to the group as a coherent auditive-cognitive experience by the Psychotherapist. The Ps. thereupon volunteer and share their impressions as to which pictures and Symbols have made the strongest emotional impression upon them and their comments are progressively positivized in discussion. |

Important Points Suggested time order in the presentation of six therapeutic elements on two sequential days: Day 1 ª Theme > Object > Movement > Fairytale (read to the group by the therapist). Day 2 ª Theme > Fairytale (read in tandem by the Ps. themselves) > Artwork > Symbol. Phantasy Therapy has a fixed structure with a ritualized course of presentation: u The direction of the group in a circle during the respective introduction of Theme, Object, Movement, Fairytale, Artwork and Symbol has proven to be very important forsupport of the group-ego. u The following "I-You-We" temporal order has also proven very effective and hasbecome standard in the course of therapy: (1) Encounter with myself in movement within the circle of others (I-experience) (2) Encounter with my partner in synchronized partner exercises (You-experience) (3) Concluding collective-movement exercises in our group (We-experience). |
